| COGNOS Architect Location: MD Rate: $50 hr Seeking a highly technical Cognos 8x Administrator / Architect that can over see all aspects of the Cognos 8x environment implementation. -Consultant will set up the IBM Cognos 8 BI system, implement security, and manage the server components. -Consultant will also monitor and schedule tasks, create data sources, manage and deploy content, manage content in IBM Cognos Connection. -Based upon business and operational requirements, identify inefficiencies and gaps in proposed Cognos infrastructure -Select right mix of Cognos products and Architecting solutions -Develop Technical Architecture and design options -Develop architecture options to address scalability and performance such as load balancing -Install and configure Cognos 8 BI products, tuning and testing -Integrate securi Dhiren Gohel: Integrate security of Cognos applications with Organizations security infrastructure -Server Administration tasks -Perform detailed analysis of organization*s current PowerCubes and BI requirements -Strong communication and ability to manage business expectations. -Co-ordinate and supervise junior resources Preferred: Oracle Data Warehouse background ideal. | Years Skills/Experience Total IT experience 10+ yrs 8+ Experience in the installation of Cognos v8.x on Windows environment 8+ Familiarity of IBM Cognos Product Family. 8+ Familiarity with database like Oracle & SQL Server 8+ Business intelligence space with exposure to any other tools like Actuate, etc. 5+ with data base and data warehouse environment 5+ as project lead and solution provider. | |
