| Plusses Preferred Experience: o 3-5 years SDK development for Cognos applications o 1-2 years Cognos Metric Studio development o 3-5 years scripting development (Perl, PHP, XSLT, etc) o 2-3 years of development experience with TSQL o Knowledge of data communications and portability standards such as XML, SOAP, HTTP, JMS o Experience with Microsoft Performance Point Day-to-Day Individual will lead efforts in the design and deployment of analytic and reporting solutions. The candidate must be, foremost, an excellent communicator. The candidate must have hands on experience with the Cognos 8 Business Intelligence system and have the ability to design and develop reporting and multi-dimensional cube solutions based on Oracle and MS SQL databases. The candidate must also have hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter 8. Engagement will be in support of the: Clinical Trial Management System reporting based on Siebel Software CRM System. A Sales Opportunity tracking and analysis system. Developer must have experience building solutions for analyzing sales activities. Other business solutions as they arise. The candidate will participate in all aspects of project development including; analysis, development, testing, documentation and deployment. The ability to troubleshoot complex problems with minimum supervision and a willingness to support and make enhancements to existing applications are essential. The candidate must work well with customers, project team leaders, developers and other support and groups. Primary Job Responsibilities o Develop new systems and reports in Cognos8 o Analyzes, writes, tests and deploys and/or maintains data reporting and analytic systems o Modifies existing software written in-house o Prepares SDLC documentation as assigned by a project manager o Assists with the integration and functionality of all software systems used to maximize technical environment o Demonstrates a willingness to accept new or additional responsibility o Helps define functional specifications of software systems o Seeks and takes advantage of opportunities to expand knowledge of operations beyond normal requirements or expectations o Understands system validation documentation in a regulatory environment | |
